ABOUT

About us

Our mission

While globalization is progressing now, language barriers remain major problems.
We are trying to remove as many of those barriers as possible and wish that there would be fewer people who cannot communicate what they want to do.
We support them wholeheartedly so that anyone can easily express "their thoughts with their own voice" to the world.

Foundation story

I am Seigo Hayami, the CEO of Konnichihello. I grew up in Tsukiji, Tokyo, which is famous for a traditional fish market. These days, more and more foreign tourists have been coming to Tsukiji, but there still exists the language barrier. There are few people who can speak English and fewer people who can speak Chinese or Korean. Even if they can communicate in broken English, they cannot tell detailed stories. In Tsukiji, many stores have dedications that have passed down from generation to generation. I feel that this language barrier leads to a barrier to understanding the culture.

While staying in Silicon Valley in 2023, I encountered HeyGen, an AI video generator capable of breaking down language barriers. Impressed by the technology, I began to envision its real-world applications by enhancing translation accuracy with human support. After many discussions with my father, a serial entrepreneur, and our current officer, Alex, we launched the "Konnichihello" service.

"Konnichihello" aims to deliver Japanese rich culture and traditions to the world without being hindered by language barriers. We help convey passions and dedications behind each business so that it's not just about "delicious" or "beautiful". We will create a world where anyone can easily share their messages with the world.
